    The Tower Suite

    The Tower suite is Britannia’s opulent penthouse suite, with a master bedroom featuring a sumptuous king-size bed by Hästens. Enjoy the comfort of this unique and spacious living space, built into the previously unoccupied tower adorning in the hotel's façade.

    Highlights include a private elevator lobby, a personalised wine cellar, an historic grand piano (salvaged from Palmehaven and restored), a hammered brass and vintage mirrored wet bar, a gold bathtub, double shower and king-sized bed by Hästens.

    Signature Suite

    Our beautifully designed and curated signature suites come with one bedroom, a large en-suite marble bathroom, with the option of an adjoining second bedroom. Enjoy the comfort of this spacious room, with luxury touches.

    The Signature Suite is located in the 1897 building, with a balcony and prominent position at the front of the hotel. The suite also boasts a large living area, spacious wardrobes and hallways and a guest bathroom, making it the perfect place to entertain guests, business associates and friends. At the end of the evening you can retire to the spacious high-ceilinged bedroom, with en suite marble bathroom, complete with stand-alone golden bathtub. Enjoy the perfect night's sleep in the 2m x 2m handcrafted Hästens bed, and for those extra special occasions you can take full advantage of the 'glam' room: a private beauty room, with Hollywood makeup mirror.

Whether you are traveling for pleasure or business, we welcome you to stay at Britannia Hotel in Trondheim, one of the best hotels in Norway. Have a look at our most frequently asked questions to get all the information.

  • All rooms are equipped with beds and linen from renowned Hästens, Carrara marble bathroom, bathrobe and slippers, minibar with a wide selection of drinks, salty and sweet snacks, coffee maker and kettle, wellness items, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, safe,  turn-down service, free high speed wifi.
  • Check in is guaranteed from 3pm, and check out is at latest 12pm.
  • You can rearrange or cancel your room order with no fee until 6pm the day before arrival.
  • Concierge means “the man with the key”. This means that our concierges are present to arrange all elements of your stay, and can assist you with everything from booking tables, experiences, tickets to plane-train-boat-museums or car rentals. In addition, they can facilitate tailor made experiences at the hotel or in Trondheim and Mid-Norway.
  • Breakfast is included in the room rate. We have two different options when you book your room. You can book a rom with breakfast either in the venerable Palmehaven or in our urban Brasserie. Our Brasserie breakfast is a continental style breakfast which includes your choice of bagels, barista coffee, juice and yoghurt with granola. Breakfast in Palmehaven includes a delicious buffet with products from the best ingredients, mostly local and homemade. You can also order dishes from our á la carte menu (also included) which offers both classic dishes such as eggs benedict and more modern and trendy dishes such as acai bowls and avocado on toast. Everything made with our own twist of course.
  • Entrance to the Britannia Spa is included in the price and you can make use of the spa facilities such as pool, sauna and steam room. We also offer a wide range of spa treatments for body and wellness at extra cost.
  • We have a wide selection of spa treatments from body massages and facials to waxing, manicures and pedicures. See the entire selection in our spa menu and book your treatment!
  • We offer valet parking in our private garage, where our Doormen welcomes you at the main entrance and drives down the car for you. The price is 500 NOK per day and 700 NOK for electric cars with charging.
  • Yes, we can put together two spacious superior rooms with a door in between so that it becomes a spacious family room. Our deluxe rooms can also be extended with an extra bed for children or guests. Several of our suites are beneficial for families as well. Deluxe Suites have a double bed and a sofa bed, the Executive suite has a double bed and can be connected to a Small Superior Room. Signature Suites have a double bed and can be connected to the Superior 1897 Room. Book the hotel room you want, or contact us for help with your booking.
  • Guests of the hotel can also use the fitness area. Here you can workout on your own, or join group sessions that are included in the price. We have a wide selection of training equipment for strength and functional training, as well as a good selection of cardio equipment. You can also order PT sessions and body analysis at extra cost.
