DO YOU HAVE VEGETARIAN/VEGAN ALTERNATIVES?
Yes, all our restaurant concepts offer vegetarian or vegan options. Please note that some of our restaurant concepts do require notice in advance on allergies or diet preferences.
HOW CAN I CANCEL OR CHANGE MY RESERVATION?
You can either follow the link in the email confirmation to cancel your reservation or contact us directly by phone or email. To make other changes, please contact the restaurant directly. Contact information can be found on the restaurants' individual landing page here.
Palmehaven
WHEN IS AFTERNOON TEA IN PALMEHAVEN SERVED?
We serve Afternoon Tea on Saturdays and Sundays. During holidays, Afternoon Tea may be served on extras days during the week. For exact opening hours and dates, please see refer to our website.

DO YOU FACILITATE FOR ALLERGIES FOR THE AFTERNOON TEA?
If you have any allergies or intolerances, please let us know 48 hours in advance of your reservation so we can make arrangements. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate diets (with the exception of diabetes, vegetarian and vegan). Allergens are also stated in our menus.

DO YOU HAVE YOUR OWN MENU FOR CHILDREN FOR AFTERNOON TEA?
Yes, we welcome our younger guests to Palmehaven! The children’s menu can be found at the bottom of the restaurant page.
WHEN DO YOU OPEN FOR TABLE RESERVATIONS FOR 17TH MAY?
We open for reservations for Norwegian National Day (17th May) in February. Sign up for our newsletter to receive the latest information.
CAN I EAT BREAKFAST WITHOUT STAYING AT THE HOTEL?
From Monday to Friday, it is usually possible reserve a table for breakfast. On Saturday and Sunday, we have limited capacity and hotel guests have priority. Please get in touch directly to ask about availability.

CAN YOU ORDER DINNER IN PALMEHAVEN?
Palmehaven is open for dinner on occasions such as Artist in Residence and seasonal events. We also host private parties. The culture calendar our website reveals when Palmehaven is available for dinner and links to purchase tickets to Artist in Residence concerts.

We recommend that our guests dress “smart casual” - for example nice pants and a shirt, blouse or blazer. We do not accept gym clothes, work uniforms, bathrobes, short trousers or flip-flops in Palmehaven.
Brasserie Britannia
What kind of food do you serve in the Brasserie?
In Brasserie we have our French Kitchen with focus on classic dishes, such as Moules Frites, Croque Madam and Oysters. We use seasonal, local Norwegian produce wherever possible.
How many guests is there room for in the Brasserie?
Brasserie can seat up to 84 guests in one seating.
Do you offer a Chambre Separee or separate rooms in Brasserie Britannia?
Brasserie is an open restaurant with no Chambre Separee available, and doesn't have any closed rooms. For questions or more info about private parties/events – please contact our booking department; booking@britannia.no or call +47 73 800 800.
Is it possible to rent Brasserie Britannia for private events?
Of course! If you like to reserve the whole restaurant for a closed party on a specific day and/or time do not hesitate to get in touch with us for a proposal on price. We recommend parties between 50-84 people when hiring the full Brasserie. Contact us on Brasserie@britannia.no
Do we have to pre-order food when we are a bigger group?
We recommend groups of 12 people or more to pre-order food. This way, we can make sure that all diatery requests, allergies and such are taken good care of upon arrival.
Vinbaren
Do I need to book a table in Vinbaren?
As a rule of thumb we always recommend booking a table in Vinbaren. During busy periods we will prioritise staying guests if you have not pre-booked a table. Table reservations can be made on our website.

Do you serve food in Vinbaren?
Yes. We have small but specialised selection of small dishes, snacks, cheese and charcuterie. Our full menu is available on our website.
Do you serve other drinks than wine?
In addition to our enormous selection of wine, we specialise in Champagne and wine based cocktails created by our award winning Bar Manager, Øyvind Lindgjerdet.
Do you organize wine seminars and tastings?

Britannia Bar
Do I need to book a table in Britannia Bar?
As a rule of thumb we always recommend booking a table in Britannia Bar. During busy periods we will prioritise staying guests if you have not pre-booked a table. Table reservations can be made on our website.

Yes. We recommend that our guests dress “smart casual” or “business casual” - for example nice pants and a shirt, blouse or blazer, or dress up in a suit or dress. We do not accept gym clothes, work uniforms, bathrobes, short pants or flip-flops in Britannia Bar.
Do you serve food in Britannia Bar?
Yes. We have small but specialized selection of small dishes, snacks, cakes and caviar. We serve from our lunch menu until 3pm and from our evening menu until 11pm every day. Updated opening times and current menus are available on our website.
What types of drinks do you serve in Britannia Bar?
Britannia Bar is the hotel’s classic cocktail bar where we specialise in classic cocktails and our award winning signature cocktails, created by our Bar Manager Øyvind Lindgjerdet. We also offer a wide selection of high end spirits from all over the world, in addition to wine, beer and coffee.
Can I book Britannia Bar for a private function?
No. Britannia Bar is always open to our staying guests. However, Vinbaren is available for booking private functions and there are private rooms adjacent to Britannia Bar. Send us an e-mail at vinbaren@britannia.no to explore your options.
Jonathan Grill
What is the difference between Jonathan Steakhouse and Jonathan Grill?
Jonathan Steakhouse is the part of the restaurant where our chefs prepare and cook all the food for you. At the Jonathan Grill section, you have the pleasure of grilling the meat yourself on our specially made Japanese grills.
How many people can sit at the tables in our grill section?
Unfortunately, our grill tables are not movable so it is not possible to get more than eight people at one table, but the tables are not far from each other so we can arrange for larger groups as well.
Speilsalen
When do the table reservations open up for booking?
Speilsalen is bookable up to three months in advance. However, it is possible to book further in advance with the overnight package.
What is the difference between Chef’s Table and Dining Room experience?
Chef’s Table is a shared dining experience, sat up close to the action in front of the kitchen. The table seats up to six diners, and seating time is 8pm each evening.
The guests are seated in front of where the chefs do their work and they are very happy to answer passionate diners’ questions.
Chef's Table is a set experience where both food and beverages are pre-ordered. Here you will be served our dinner menu, a glass of champagne upon arrival, wine package or alcohol-free juice paring, mineral water and coffee or tea.
A reservation in Dining Room gives you a traditional private round table experience. Diners receive the same dinner menu as the Chef’s Table, and it is possible to add items from the caviar bar and order beverages and drink pairing on arrival.
Can hotel guests book a table in Speilsalen before they open up online?
If you want to secure a table reservation for a specific date we have different hotel packages with dinner in the Speilsalen that can be reserved out 2023.
Is it possible to book Speilsalen for a exclusive event?
Yes, you can book Speilsalen for a closed event.
Maximum capacity for closed events in Speilsalen is 45 people. Contact booking@speilsalen.no for further information.
Do you facilitate for allergies?

What is included in the dinner menu?
Speilsalen serves exclusively one tasting menu, with 12-16 servings.
On our website you will always find the seasonal menu. The courses for the dinner menu are listed under “Act 2" and "Act 3".
If you want to start the evening with caviar from our Caviar Bar and other beverages, you will find a selection of this under "Act 1". Extra orders from "Act 1" will be added to the bill in addition to the dinner menu.
